SMALL COMET TOPIC ON TAP FOR PRESTIGIOUS
NIELS BOHR LECTURE

Louis A. Frank has been invited to deliver a Niels Bohr Lecture in 2001. The lecture by the Carver/James A. Van Allen Professor of Physics at the University of Iowa will be presented on Wednesday, March 14 at the Niels Bohr Institute for Astronomy, Physics and Geophysics in Copenhagen, Denmark. The title of Dr. Frank's talk is "A Cosmic Rain of Small Comets Into Our Atmosphere."

This prestigious lecture series is named for Niels Bohr, the Danish physicist and 1922 Nobel Laureate in physics. These invited lectures are given by prominent scientists three or four times each year and are directed to a broad spectrum of physicists. The lectures are sponsored by the Danish Space Research Institute and the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics.
